A while back my mother fell and broke 2 ribs. As a result, her lung was punctured and collapsed. My mother’s doctor had her hospitalized, because he was afraid my mother would get pneumonia. At the same time, my mother had a friend who was also hospitalized for pneumonia. My mother got better, but her friend died. So often we take life for granted, never realizing how fragile life really is. I hope I always remember not to take life for granted, but rather to honor and cherish it.
In my very humble opinion, one of the highest honors a person can receive is to mentor or counsel another person in his field. As an attorney, I was often approached by young or new attorneys about how to handle cases in court, and I was always happy to help.
